This popular tourist attraction of eastern Bali is small, but stunning! This temple, dating back to the 11th century, is located in front of the cave and just above the ocean cliff, providing visitors with magnificent views of the ocean. This sacred temple protects Bali from dark spirits of the ocean, and it is only 10 kilometers from Candidasa. Inside the cave there are hundreds of bats trying to fall asleep.

Located in the center of the city, the Lotus Lagoon is a place of miracles that appears directly from a fairy tale story. The lake lagoon is filled with pink flowers and fuschia lotus flowers, and if you are lucky, they will blossom in shimmering sunlight. The atmosphere is so surprisingly calm, that you are charmed and fascinated with it. It is believed that the temple dated back to the 11th century, and it is also worth visiting it while you are there.

The village of Tenganan is a well-known tourist attraction in Bali. This is an ancient village, where Bali Aga people live  - the original Balinese before the era of Majapahita. Visiting Tenganan will give you an idea of the traditional Balinese way of life and, of course, you will be able to buy a lot of handmade souvenirs from Bali Aga people. In the area of Candidasa there are two beautiful water palaces. Tirtha Ganga is the most famous, built in 1948 by the last king of Karangasem. This sacred place is controlled by holy water and multi-level fountains. The atmosphere is serene, and on the background you can admire the view of emerald rice fields and all the picture is  stunning. Taman Ujung is another picturesque water palace, built in 1919. Here you can walk a bridge in European style over a large holy pond.

Agung is a stratovolcano located on the island of Bali and is part of the province of Indonesia of the same name. It is the highest point of the island (3142 m) and is considered a sacred mountain by the locals. It is located in the eastern part of the island, divided by a narrow valley with the volcano Batur. The diameter of the crater of the volcano is 520x375 meters. The top of the volcano is bald and devoid of vegetation. It has been known that unlike other active volcanoes in Indonesia, Agung has been sending signals about itself only five times since ancient times.

Menjangan Island is located in the north-western part of Bali, and is very popular with divers and snorkelers from all over the world. Near this island, a ship sank under the name of "Anker", many tourists swim up to this place so that to see it debris. If you are interested in the history of sunken ships, you will be wondering the ship US Liberty. The peculiarity of snorkeling in these places is that there is very warm water, about 30 degrees, so underwater excursions can be done even in the evening and at night, but only if you have certain skills. For example, this is the village of Tulamben,  near which an interesting object, namely an American warship, flooded during the Second World War is located. Do you want to enjoy an exciting adventure? From Candidasa, you can go on a rafting trip on the impetuous river Telaga-Vaja in the east of  Bali. You will have fun, and in addition to this, the magnificent views of the tropical landscapes of the rice fields and the mountains surrounding the river will rejoice your eyes. The track for rafting is about 15 kilometers, and lasts from 2.5 to 3 hours. At the end of this river adventure you will go down on a 4-meter waterfall, on your rafting. Do not worry, it's not as scary as it seems.
